The „Lendület” Research Center for Educational and Network Studies (RECENS) at the HAS (Hungarian Academy of Sciences) offers an internship opportunity.
Join us and participate in our research! You can either be part of the “Competition and Negative Networks” research project (founded by the HAS “Lendület” program) or the “Gossip and Reputation Dynamics in Social Networks” research project (financed by the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement no 648693).
The interns join one particular project and work on research tasks. They might also receive tasks related to the daily operation of the research group. Each intern is assigned to a supervisor who will dispense the tasks. The supervisor will also serve as a mentor who will help the intern blend in the research group and conduct his or her own research (for example writing a thesis). To assist their academic progress, the interns can participate in our weekly seminars and reading groups and other forms of training opportunities. The internship program might be particularly useful for those who plan to pursue an academic career.
At the end of the semester, all interns are expected to present their research. This will be a great opportunity to discuss research findings and receive feedback from members of the research group.
Our research group is comprised of talented young researchers. In addition to academic activities, we maintain a cozy atmosphere and regularly organize social events.
This internship is unpaid. However, interns who actively contribute to the work of RECENS will receive a proof of participationand a recommendation letter that they might use for future job applications at the end of the semester.
Duration of the internship program: October 2018 - December 2018
Working hours 6-8 hours/week
Candidates are welcome to send their application no later than September 21th by e-mail to: Rado.Marta@tk.mta.hu. Please mention „RECENS internship” in the subject of your email.
We ask you to submit:
